Our Program for Troubled Teens
All too often, troubled teenagers who are at risk are placed in short term psychiatric treatment for 3-7 days and then discharged home without every really having treatment and therapy able to address her behavioral health issues. As a Catholic residential treatment center for teen girls, Trinity Teen Solutions has found that young women who are treated in the “revolving door” inpatient treatments quickly fall back into old behaviors once they return home. This is generally for two reasons; first, girls don’t know how to adapt their newfound life skills to their old environments. Second, they have a spiritual void in their lives which they attempt to fill with things other than God. Trinity Teen Solutions offers long-term results for teens in distress. Mindset Changes and Challenges Program
One of the most important functions of a residential treatment programs is to build trust between troubled teens and their treatment team. While attending Trinity Teen Solutions residential treatment center, your daughter has the benefit of temporarily leaving the negative distractions and pressures of life behind. This frees her to focus on finding herself and discovering who she is through Christ.
The Mindset Changes and Challenges Program takes teens at risk and encourages changes in their behavior. In order for her to gain privileges, your daughter needs to work honestly on the behaviors, attitudes and issues that are forcing you to seek treatment for her.
Once she is successful, your daughter will grow self-worth and dignity that will allow her to do the painstaking task of looking honestly inward. With the emotional growth that occurs, she will be able to soften her heart and let down all the barriers that have prevented her from looking inward and achieving healing and utilizing healthy coping skills.
Is the Entire Program “Mind” Work?
The mind isn’t the only area of your daughter’s total person that we work on. Our philosophy about troubled teens is to provide each one with appropriate therapy for her mind, body and soul.
We offer quality nutrition specifically designed for teens at risk to build up their health and mental wellbeing. Likewise, we work on your child’s spiritual development, increasing her inner strength and peace.
We require her to examine her conscience moment to moment, and we observe progress daily. We also review her overall progress towards meeting her measurable and obtainable treatment goals weekly. We require your daughter to grow in virtues such as patience, mercy, compassion, tolerance, forgiveness, respect, motivation, honesty, self-control and responsibility. As she practices these, she will internalize these coping skills and characteristics as her own.
